- Spinsters Rock -
(Dolmen)
Description: The local
tradition says that this strangely named dolmen was erected one morning
before breakfast by three spinsters or spinning women, to amuse themselves
as they were on their way to deliver the wool they had spun. The stone
fell early in 1862, but with the aid of some sketches made in 1858, the
stones were re-erected in November 1862.
